Cork International Airport is the second-busiest airport in Ireland, and it has ample facilities to accommodate the nearly 3 million passengers who arrive and depart each year. Facilities cover all the basic traveller amenities. There are three main terminal entrances, one fronting the Departures Hall, one fronting the Arrivals Hall and a third between these two. Upon entering the main hall, ticketing desks are in the far left corner along the outside wall. Check-in desks are opposite these.
The main hall is equipped with a Bank of Ireland branch that can deal with currency exchange and other banking needs. There are also ATMs in this area. The main airport information desk is next to the Arrivals hall exit, between the Londis store and the desks where car rental in Cork Airport is arranged.
Internet kiosks are also here in the main hall, outside the Hughes & Hughes Shop in the Departures Hall, with another set in the Arrivals Hall beside the Starbucks. Ascend the escalator to find another set of internet kiosks joining the Lir Chocolate Café in the departure lounge. If you travel with a notebook computer, free wireless internet broadcasts throughout the terminal.
For more in-depth facilities, the Jack Lynch Departure Lounge admits paying guests starting three hours before their flight departs. Admission includes complimentary internet access, reading material and refreshments. The lounge is also equipped with departure monitors and some of the most comfortable seating in the airport. This is an especially attractive option if you've completed your Cork Airport hire car return procedures faster than anticipated and need to kill an hour or two.
