Location

Cork Airport is located 8 kilometres south of Cork city centre, accessible by the N27. This is a minor north-south motorway that connects the city centre to the airport without connecting anywhere else. However, with car rental in Cork Airport, you can drive to Cork city centre, where several major motorways including the M8 converge. Europcar also offer customers teh benefit of a car rental location in Cork City Centre.

Cork is in the southern reaches of Ireland on the banks of the River Lee, and it's the principal city in the province of Munster. The densest part of town spreads south from the river and approaches the town. The South Ring Road cuts roughly halfway between the city centre and Cork Airport. To the east, it veers north and becomes the M8. To the west, it becomes the N22 and ultimately connects with Killarney. Airport Road picks up south of the ring road.

If you are driving in from Kinsale Harbour to the south of Cork, you can take the R6000 all the way. It meets the N27 at the Airport Roundabout, with Avenue 4000 connecting west toward the terminal. From here, you'll drive through a series of three smaller roundabouts on your way to the terminal entrance. The Europcar depot is in the multi-storey short-term car park.

Driving to the airport from Cork city centre doesn't take long - ideally 15-20 minutes depending on the time of day. However, traffic picks up considerably during morning and evening rush hours and on holidays, when you'll want to set aside extra time for getting to the airport.
