What is the Privilege Card ? How do I enrol ?

"The Privilege card is a card offered to provide additional benefits for Europcar customers. The card is personal and free of charge. The card carries the Customers Europcar ID Number as well as his/her Contract Number if he/she benefits from contractual conditions. It allows the customer to be instantly recognised throughout the Europcar network and benefit from his/her contractual conditions and client registers to the Ready Service, it gives access to express car pick-up at participating Europcar agencies. The Privilege card may function as a charge card (for corporate customers only) if this feature has been agreed within the conditions of your account creation. How are the different Privilege status levels reached?

A Member switches from one level to another in function of his/her Vehicle hire services consumption (number of hires or number of hired days).

At enrolment time, the Member is automatically enrolled into the Privilege Club level which becomes active after first hire.

The Member's status changes automatically when he or she satisfies the conditions for reaching another level.

Any new status reached is valid for a period of twelve (12) months (three hundred and sixty five (365) days) during a calendar year: January 1 - December 31

What is the difference between the Privilege and the Privilege Ready card ?

The Privilege Ready card is dedicated to frequent customers who have provided their means of payment and preferred insurance information and given authority to Europcar to debit their credit card account for each rental. Booking with the ID number printed on this card enables Europcar to prepare the rental agreement prior to the customer's arrival. The Privilege card is for occasional renters who want to be recognised at the counter and benefit from their specific rate conditions, where applicable. The Privilege card is a free service of Europcar.

What is the Privilege Loyalty program?

The Europcar Privilege loyalty programme  is a free of charge programme designed to enable enrolled customers to receive rewards for their repeat business with Europcar when they hire in any of the participating locations.

The Privilege Programme offers the Members three (3) status levels based on the number of hires or hire days with Europcar over a twelve (12) months period. Programme status levels are Privilege Club, Privilege Silver, and Privilege Elite.
The Member's status changes when he or she satisfies the conditions for obtaining another level, as described below. The new status is valid for a period of 12 months (365 days). The Member's current status is renewed if, at the end of this 12 month period, the Member still satisfies the conditions for said status. If the Member no longer satisfies the conditions for the current status level over the following 12 month period, then he or she receives the status level that corresponds to his or her activity at the end of the said period. The Member's new Card is sent immediately, free of charge, corresponding to the new status level.

Europcar ID sign-on or quote at time of booking is mandatory to benefit from the Privilege Programme advantages and tier level system.

To obtain a Privilege Card, the Customer must:

-  Update or create his/her Europcar ID online via the "My Europcar" section and Submit or Confirm his/her enrolment,                                    
- Own a major credit card accepted by Europcar and enter the details of such credit card details in the My Europcar section OR be granted a Company charge option, both as described in the section 2 of our General Hire Terms - Provide an individual and valid e-mail address at time of sign up 

On receipt of the subscription confirmation, Europcar will send a confirmation email to the email address entered by the customer in the "My Europcar" form which in turn implies the final acceptance of the offer by the Customer.  

How can I enrol in the Europcar Privilege Programme?

 Customers can join the Privilege Programme by enrolling online, thereby completing the application form in the My Europcar section of http://www.europcar.com/ or of any of the following Europcar websites:

After submitting the form, the Member will receive an application confirmation e-mail, sent to the email address indicated on the form, indicating the Europcar Driver ID. This Europcar ID (or Member number) entitles the Member to benefit from all Programme services immediately and must be used to login for each online reservation or quoted when booking on the phone to benefit from the Programme advantages.  

How will I get upgraded / downgraded from a level to another?

fLevel Downgrades
On 31 December of each year, the level in the Programme to which a Member is to be entitled the next year will be determined by the number of Privilege Credits accumulated from 1 January until 31 December of that same year:

  • If a Member has earned no Privilege Credits during the relevant year, the Member will be downgraded to one level lower;
  • If a Member has earned Privilege Credits during the year, but not enough to maintain his current membership level as per the rules defined in Chapter -1 hereby, the Member will be downgraded to one level lower. As an example, a Privilege Elite member will be downgraded to a Privilege Executive level, and a Privilege Executive member will be downgraded to a Privilege Club level.

Level Upgrades
As soon as a Member earns enough Privilege Credit to be upgraded, the upgrade will be implemented with immediate effect. This means that a new Card reflecting the new status of the said Member will be automatically sent to the Member. As an example, a Privilege Club member will be upgraded to a Privilege Executive level, and a Privilege Executive member will be upgraded to a Privilege Elite level.

What if my Privilege Card is lost, damaged or stolen?

If the Card is lost, damaged or stolen, you should contact the Data Administrator of your country of residence by phone or email: contact information available online in the About us section and in the Loyalty Information section of My Europcar once logged-in.
Upon receipt of the Member's notification of a lost, stolen or damaged Card, the Card will be replaced.

How do I earn PRIVILEGE Credits?

You can earn PRIVILEGE credits as follows:

  • for each eligible hire
  • for each eligible hire day
  • for specific promotions
When a Member rents a Vehicle at a participating Europcar location via an eligible rate, the Member's account is credited with an additional PRIVILEGE credit (hires and/or days according to what is the most profitable for the member).

What are the benefits offered to PRIVILEGE members?

ffEach level rewards its Members with specific advantages and benefits.

For PRIVILEGE CLUB Members:
After the first hire, the enrolled customer becomes a Privilege Club Member and starts earning credits towards Privilege Executive.

Privilege Club benefits:
- Privilege express service: No queue, no paperwork, show your driving licence and go,
- Benefit from a dedicated line at the counter
- Get a 10% discount on Europcar International leisure rates (Super Drive),
- Your reservation is guaranteed: the Europcar pick up station is required to provide the requested vehicle category until the station closure or up to 12:00 (noon) the day following the due pick up time for 24/7 stations.
- Access your PRIVILEGE profile information 24/7 on My Europcar section online.
- Benefit from special rates at Accor hotels and access to Accor's A|Club Silver card
- Earn miles/points from your preferred Frequent Traveller Programme,

For PRIVILEGE EXECUTIVE Members:
Members qualify for this level after 10 hires or 40 hire days during the previous 12 months period.

Privilege Executive benefits:

  • Privilege express service: No queue, no paperwork, show your driving licence and go,
  • Benefit from a dedicated line at the counter
  • 20% discount on all leisure rates (Super Drive)
  • guaranteed car availability
  • special rates at Accor hotels and access to A|Club Gold card
  • dedicated, express counter service
  • one free car category upgrade up to category SDMR subject to availability at pick-up time

  • Privilege express service: No queue, no paperwork, show your driving licence and go,

How do I get a Europcar ID number ?

"Your Europcar Driver ID is generated on your first rental with Europcar. Please ask the Europcar agent to confirm it to you. You can also find this number on your rental invoice and on your Europcar Privilege card. You may also create your Europcar ID online via the My Europcar section. What is the Ready Service ? How can I benefit from it ?

"Ready Service is a priority counter service, specially designed for frequent business renters of Europcar. The Ready Service option is free. The Ready Service has two service-levels: 1. Ready Service By providing the method of payment that will be used for rentals, and your rental preferences, this ensures that your rental agreements are pre-printed when you arrive at the Europcar Ready lane: you just present your driving licence, sign and go. 2. Ready Service with Master Rental Agreement option Europcar enables you to sign a master rental agreement (MRA) just once, providing the necessary information for your rental, including car rental preferences, insurance and optional coverages and means of payment. When you arrive at the counter you just present your Europcar Ready card and driving licence and off you go with your car keys, doing away with all the paperwork"
