Belfast Castle - With the finest views of the city below, the Belfast Castle was built in the 19th century by the 3rd Marquess of Donegall in the suburbs, to replace the 12th century Norman castle from the town centre that burnt down in 1708. The Castle was presented to the city in 1934, and underwent a two million pound refurbishment before being opened to the public. It remains a popular attraction today.
