Museums in Waterford

As one of the most historical sites in the whole of Ireland there are a collection of incredible museums that offer great insights into the history of the city and Ireland as well. There is no better place in the country for history enthusiasts to visit and view fine collections from centuries past.

There are three major museums to be found in the city centre a few paces from one another which are known as the Treasure Museums. Each covers a different part of the city’s long history. The massive stone fortress Reginald’s Tower houses Waterford's Viking Treasures.  Ireland’s only Medieval Museum showcases spectacular Treasures from the Middle Ages.  The elegant 1743 Bishop’s Palace is the home of the Treasures of the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries.

These are a must see for history nuts and others alike, if you want to find out more about these incredible locations click here.
