Cork Airport Public Transport

Cork Airport is 8 kilometres south of the city centre, with quick and convenient road links. The majority of visitors pick up a hire car while in the area. For everyone else, taxis, buses and airport shuttles bear the burden of transport. Europcar offer a location at both Cork Airport and in the Centre of Cork City.

By car
Most passengers connect to and from the airport by car, whether that means driving their own vehicle or arranging to be dropped off and picked up. Of course, the most practical way to and from the terminal is with Cork Airport car hire, and navigating the 8 kilometres between the city centre and the terminal couldn't be simpler.

A total of 4,800 short- and long-term parking spaces are also on site. The multi-storey short-term car park is immediately north of the new terminal. Opposite this is the P1 long-term car park. Additional long-term parking is available east of the new terminal at P2.

By bus
Public buses connect Cork city centre with the airport. Major bus stations are located at Parnell Place and Merchant's Quay, Bus Éireann runs regular service throughout the day. SkyLink is the other major provider, with frequent service to the city centre running 19 hours daily. Citylink runs from Cork Airport to Limerick (2 hours) and Galway (3 hours), with coaches departing six times daily.

By taxi
The tax rank is located immediately outside the new terminal. Fares for local journeys are reckoned by the meter. For longer journeys, it's wise to work out the fare ahead of time.
