Knock Airport Shops and Restaurants
Knock Airport now features several restaurants, lounges and shopping areas. Snacks and full meals, coffee and cocktails, magazines and books, gifts and souvenirs are available at locations throughout the main terminal building.
Travellers who enjoy the efficient drop-off procedures for rental cars in Knock Airport often find themselves with extra time on their hands. Knock's terminal offers a range of shopping and dining options, both before and after the security checkpoint.
On the first floor of the terminal building, Sláinte Restaurant overlooks the landing area and offers a full menu of food and drinks. It's open from breakfast and comes equipped with a play area for children. Sláinte generally stays open as long as flights are taking off or landing.
Danann's Café Bar is on the ground floor and oozes with traditional pub atmosphere. It's a cosy spot offering coffee and other drinks plus hot sandwiches and soup and the fact that it's landside of security means meters and greeters often wait here for their charges to arrive. The newest addition to Knock Airport's dining scene is Ireland West Café Bar. It's only open to passengers and features snacks and a full bar.
Shops include Danann's Newsworld, with a large collection of magazines, newspapers and snacks on hand. Dannan's stocks local and international newspapers and even offers national lottery for those last-minute lucky impulses.
A better selection of gifts and souvenirs is found at the Airport Travel Value Shop. It's stationed in the Departures Lounge and stocks designer brands, Irish whiskeys and cosmetics.
